Mediator Dayton Haigney possesses substantial experience representing both plaintiffs and insured defendants in personal injury litigation. Dayton worked for ten years as an in-house trial lawyer for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. While at Liberty Mutual, he handled a diverse caseload of automobile, premises, Labor Law and product liability cases. Additionally, he litigated coverage issues and property damage subrogation claims.

In 1997, Dayton established a small boutique litigation firm which handled insurance defense cases and the representation of plaintiffs. He also served as trial counsel for both insurance carriers and plaintiff personal injury firms.

Dayton devoted approximately half of his legal career to representing plaintiffs. He secured multiple verdicts and settlements in excess of a million dollars. Dayton continues to act as 'of counsel' to Caesar & Napoli, a New York City personal injury firm serving the Asian American community. At Caesar & Napoli, he primarily prepares cases for settlement negotiations.

Dayton is one of the few mediators who possesses considerable trial experience on both the defense and plaintiff's side of the personal injury practice area. As such, he competently addresses the value of a claim with an eye towards mutual resolution.
