Dayton Haigney represented individual investors for fifteen years in FINRA and NASD securities arbitrations. His family operated a broker/dealer in Boston from 1936 through the early 1990s where he worked assisting traders (Dayton Haigney & Co., Inc. ). He started his legal career in the Legal Advisory Department of Merrill Lynch. Additionally, he spent ten years working as an insurance defense lawyer for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
Dayton is certified by the mediation tribunals sponsored by the Financial Industry Regulatory Agency (FINRA-DR), the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) and the New York Supreme Court Commercial Division (S/NY). Dayton has worked on the SRO committee of the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA).
Dayton is available to travel nationwide to mediate securities and investment disputes. The Pacific Atlantic Mediation office is located three blocks from FINRA's New York City hearing facility- evening or early morning mediation sessions can be scheduled for ongoing arbitrations.
